The Girl Scout
Gold Award
The Gold Award is the highest award a girl scout can achieve and only 5.4% of eligible girls successfully earn this award each year. It requires at least 80 hours of work, must be sustainable, has to assist in solving an issue dear to them, and should drive lasting change in their community and beyond. The Gold Award project also must consist of taking initiative and has to positively impact an extensive amount of people. It involves seven steps that require persistent effort and dedicated work. Completing the Gold Award benefits your college application, makes you a more definite applicant for scholarships, lets you join the military a position higher than others, and makes your resume more captivating to employers. Girl Scouts who earn the Gold Award learn valuable life skills such as planning and problem solving.
We are the future of female leadership.
